What this calculator does

Enter the fare shown in your current scenario, the cash tendered, and the number of passengers using the same values. The tool subtracts fare from tendered cash and reports change, exact payment, or a shortfall.

This is scenario arithmetic, not an official fare table. Diesel N Steel can change, and we did not find a first-party route-by-route fare formula. Always use the amount shown in the current game session.

Reading the result

The per-passenger result is multiplied by the passenger count for the totals. Currency inputs accept up to two decimal places. Displayed results are rounded to two decimal places as a calculator policy, not as a claim about hidden game rounding.
